Tev Stevig

Tev Stevig

Guitar (all styles), Banjo, Ukulele, Rock Band

Tev Stevig teaches guitar, bass, banjo, lap steel, and other plucked strings at Powers Music School. Tev believes the most important part of learning about music is that it should be fun. He strives to create a well rounded practice regimen that is custom tailored to each individual student covering a few basic areas of musical development: Rhythm, Melody, Harmony, Literacy, Technique, Repertoire, and Improvisation. He also believes strongly in group music making as a complement to private instruction and leads the rock band at Powers. He received his Bachelor of Music degree in Jazz Guitar Performance from Berklee College of Music and has studied with Mick Goodrick, Hal Crook, Bruce Bartlett, John Thomas, Rick Peckham, Richie Hart, Bret Wilmott, and John Damien. His many engagements include performances/recordings with Jeni Jol, Ivo & the Wave Wranglers, The Polydactylous Orchestra, Mr. Ho's Orchestrotica, Klezwoods, and Orkestra Marhaba, and tours throughout the U.S. and Europe.
