Performathon 2009 "In the Spotlight"

Join us as we celebrate the musical accomplishments of Powers Music School's students in Performathon 2009 "In the Spotlight." This year's annual Performathon takes place on May 16 and 17 with a series of student performances. On Saturday evening at 7:30 pm, we will present a festive Jazz concert featuring Powers faculty members and guest artists. Student participants range from beginning to advanced and from younger to older. Any student interested in performing should contact their teacher. Faculty should sign-up their students early on as this weekend-long event is very popular. A short reception is held at the conclusion of each performance to congratulate performers.

The dollars that are raised during Performathon weekend, from the admission at the door to the purchase of a tote bag or t-shirt, support the Financial Aid Scholarship Program. It is only with the help of our generous donors that we can continue to make music education accessible to need based students.
