Small-group keyboard classes for those just starting their musical journey. Parents join in the fun too!
Summer Semester begins in June!
Ensemble and Semi-Private Keyboard Classes for Kids
Keys for Kids® provides the perfect musical introduction for young children. Keys for Kids introduces children to ear training, rhythm, singing, solfege and keyboard performance in a small group setting. The School provides keyboards for the group lessons; however, students must have a piano or keyboard at home to practice. Workbooks offer weekly exercises for home and class. Parent/Caregiver participation at lessons is required. Parents/Caregivers do not need prior music instruction to participate.
Ensemble classes are divided into age groups and meet for 30-45 minutes per week. Instructors will recommend the appropriate level of instruction for students with previous piano training.
Mini Keys : Age 4 Through a carefully layered curriculum, children learn the first building blocks of music, solfege, singing, movement, ear training, rhythm activities, ensemble keyboard playing, and music reading skills.
Kinder Keys: Ages 5 - 6 The curriculum includes ear training, singing, rhythm and note reading games, improvisation, and keyboard performance in both solo and ensemble settings.
Super Keys: Ages 7-8 Continuing classes for students who have progressed through previous levels of the Keys for Kids® program.
