We welcome kids, teens, and adults (at all levels – even beginners!) to join the chamber music program at Powers. You’ll play some amazing pieces that are only possible with a group. You’ll grow as a musician, of course. And you’ll also gain skills that are important in any aspect of life – communication, collaboration, critical thinking, and more.

Your child has shown interest in playing an instrument or switching instruments, but there’s one problem: They're not sure which one to pick! We know it can be confusing and overwhelming to make a decision that feels so big - after all, they’ll be practicing a lot and you want them to enjoy it, you may be paying for lessons, and it could blossom into a real lifelong passion. If this sounds like your family, then Sound Safari is an incredible opportunity for your preteen to try multiple instruments in one week - even if they’re a complete beginner!
