Summer day program at Powers

Summer Day Programs

Summer 2021 Update

We believe that our 5 summer day programs will run onsite again this summer!

We do anticipate that as health and safety guidelines are released later in the spring, our onsite programs will have a smaller capacity than past years. If you know your son or daughter is interested in a summer day program at Powers, we highly encourage you to register as soon as possible.

(Anyone interested in Suzuki on the Hill can join our “digital waiting list,” which will give you first priority to register once registration opens to the public.)

We’re so excited to be back in person soon and creating music with you again!

We know summer is a challenge for many families – trying to fit in vacations, activities, learning, and relaxation is no small task! How do you keep your young musician motivated when there’s so much going on?

Now Powers offers 5 unique summer day programs for students interested in a 1-week or 2-week immersive experience. What do we mean by “immersive?” Most of our day programs run from 9:00 am to 3:00 or 4:00 pm, so your son or daughter will get a full schedule of music, ensembles, art, recreation, special master classes, and unique learning opportunities not available during the school year.

Kids ages 5-10 interested in music, singing, and instruments can start in our popular Kids Crescendo program. String and plucked string players will love improvising at String Traditions. Suzuki violin students will have fun continuing their studies with their friends at Suzuki on the Hill. Intermediate and advanced students can build their solo and ensemble skills even further at Music on the Hill or Piano Pairs.

It’s a chance for her to surround herself with music all day – and new friends who are experiencing and learning everything right alongside her. It’s an opportunity to practice and perform in a more relaxed setting. It’s a time for him to experiment and really test the limits of what he can do.
