Join Powers instructor Ellery Klein each month for these fun traditional Irish music sessions! Irish music learners of all abilities are encouraged to come one Thursday a…month to learn some tunes and play together. Each 90-minute gathering will begin by slowly learning a “tune of the month” together, followed by a traditional session of common Irish tunes played at a moderate learner’s pace. This session is for players of all ages.

Join us for our 2024-2025 Faculty Concert Series with a performance from cello faculty Alison Ackley, with her husband Taylor Ackley, followed by a reception for the…community! Alison and Taylor Ackley are partners in life and in music and have been performing together since 2015 when they founded the Deep Roots Ensemble. Taylor’s background in traditional American music and Alison’s extensive experience as a classical chamber musician come together to form the foundation of all the music they make together.
