Alix Pollack

Alix Pollack is the Suzuki accompanist at Powers. Alix was a longtime elementary music teacher for the Belmont Public Schools. She is active as a vocal accompanist. She holds a Master’s Degree in Music Theory from the New England Conservatory where she served on the faculty, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Music from the University of California, Berkeley. She has lectured on classical music listening in the elementary classroom at the Boston Conservatory and taught at the Young Artists’ Vocal Program at the Boston University Tanglewood Institute. She worked as a liaison between the Boston Symphony Orchestra and the Chelsea Public Schools. Alix studied piano with Linda Jiorle-Nagy, Victor Rosenbaum, Lois Shapiro, and Patricia Zander and vocal accompaniment with Michelle Alexander, Terry Decima, Donald Palumbo, and Allen Rogers.
