Amanda Fandos is a pianist, composer, and educator from Barcelona, Spain. She began her musical journey at the age of four as a classically trained pianist and has since developed a multifaceted career in composition and music education.

Amanda holds a Bachelor’s degree in Film Scoring and Composition from Berklee College of Music, where she graduated Summa Cum Laude with minors in Contemporary Conducting and Music for Video Games. She is currently pursuing her Master’s degree in Classical Composition and Music Theory at the Longy School of Music of Bard College in Cambridge, MA, where she was awarded a full-tuition scholarship in recognition of her achievements. Her works have been performed internationally by ensembles such as the UNICAMP Symphony Orchestra in Brazil at the SPCC Festival, the Divergent Trio at the Divergent Studio Festival in Cambridge, MA, and Nanjing University in China, among others. She has also collaborated with her music on projects selected for the Cannes Film Festival, as well as on a Grammy Award–nominated piece.

With over thirteen years of teaching experience, Amanda has taught piano to students ranging from young beginners to adults, both privately and in music schools. Her teaching also extends to music theory and composition, ensembles, choral singing, Orff, and music history. She has guided students in preparing for performance exams at conservatories as well as assessments through the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music (ABRSM) and The Royal Conservatory of Music (RCM). While at Berklee, she also worked as a Core Music Tutor, earning CRLA certification.

Throughout her years as an educator, Amanda has learned the importance of clear and adaptive communication. She recognizes that every student learns differently and values making the learning process enjoyable, engaging, and empowering, while honoring the responsibility educators and mentors carry in shaping a student’s growth.
