Elaine Dimopoulos

Elaine Dimopoulos is a critically acclaimed author of books for children and young adults. She has taught writing and children’s literature at Boston University, Simmons University, and GrubStreet and currently co-chairs the Associates of the Boston Public Library Writer-in-Residence fellowship. She is a member of the Andover Development Board at Phillips Academy and volunteers extensively at the Meadowbrook School of Weston, serving on the Financial Assistance Task Force and co-chairing the Green Team, a parent-facing committee dedicated to sustainability.

Music has always been a major part of Elaine’s life; she met her spouse singing a cappella music at Yale University. She now lives in Belmont with her family, and her two children are each studying two instruments (and counting) at Powers Music School. Elaine received her B.A. in Literature with Distinction from Yale and holds an M.A. in Education Leadership from Columbia University and an M.F.A. in Writing for Children from Simmons University.
