Linda Emmanuel

Linda teaches Piano Powers, Dalcroze Eurhythmics, and private Voice lessons. In addition to her classes at Powers, Linda has enjoyed faculty appointments with ProjectSTEP, Concord Conservatory, Winchester Community Music School, Community Music Center of Boston, and the Arlington Center for the Arts. For many years she also ran her own Infant-Toddler drop-in studio, Giggle Kids Music, in Newton. She holds a Bachelor of Music from New England Conservatory in vocal performance and a Master of Music in Dalcroze Eurhythmics from the Longy School. Linda feels it is never too early to make music with your children and would like to encourage everyone to make music early and often.

Linda has been a soloist with many area ensembles including the Heritage Chorale, Wellesley Choral Society, Savoyard Light Opera, and Boston Chamber Ensemble. She dabbled a bit in opera, with appearances as the First Witch in Dido & Aeneas and as the Sandman in Music Is Art’s Opera Showcase in Winchester. Linda was also an active church musician, appearing as a guest performer in various houses of worship in the Greater Boston area.
