Mike McLaughlin
Mike grew up in Pembroke, MA, then moved to Philadelphia for college, where he attended the University of Pennsylvania, acquiring a BA in European History in 2001. He then spent eight years living with his wife in New Haven, CT, where he worked for multiple consulting firms before returning to graduate school at Yale University, earning both an MBA and an MA in International Relations in 2008. Mike’s consulting career continued after graduate school with the Boston Consulting Group (BCG), where he spent over three years working for clients across a number of industries (including non-profit) and functional areas.
While at BCG, Mike and his wife moved to Belmont in 2012, where they have spent the past 13 years residing with their two sons, Owen (who is a burgeoning trumpet player and a student at Powers) and Will (who is developing a love for the trombone). Mike spent 10 years in industry working in a variety of senior strategy and finance roles for major financial services companies in the Boston area, before returning to BCG four years ago to help manage BCG’s Corporate Finance consulting practice. Outside of work, beyond spending time with his wife, family, and friends, Mike enjoys reading about history and economics, listening to U2, and staying motivated to consistently use his Peloton bike.
