Xue (Shirley) Liu is a pianist and music educator who specializes in teaching students with learning differences. Ms. Liu actively performs as a pianist. She has performed various concerts at Wuhan Conservatory, two solo piano recitals, and other concerts at Boston Conservatory at Berklee under the tutelage of pianists Janice Weber and Alex Poliykov. As a music educator, Ms. Liu wants to help her students find joy in music. Through her main teaching principle of individualized teaching, Ms. Liu hopes her students to become the best forms of themselves. Ms. Liu currently serves as a piano instructor at Powers Music School, the Berklee Institute for Arts Education and Special Needs, and the Westwood Prodigy program. She also co-facilitates BIAESN’s Music History class, for which she has co-developed the curriculum.
Ms. Liu received her B.M. in Piano Performance from the Wuhan Conservatory and holds an M.M. in Piano Performance and an M.M. in Music Education (Autism Concentration), both from the Boston Conservatory at Berklee.
