Yas Ishibashi is the Artistic Director for Powers’ summer day program Kids Crescendo, instructor for the Singing for Kids class, and composer/coordinator for the Musical Storytelling Program, in addition to teaching private piano lessons.

Bachelor’s degree in Music Education from Kunitachi Music College. Dalcroze Eurhythmics Certificate from Longy School Of Music under the direction of Lisa Parker. Kodaly Certificate from Kodaly Center of America, professional studies in Jazz arranging and composition from Berklee College of Music. Piano pedagogy studies with Jean Stackhouse at New England Conservatory. Piano pedagogy workshop with Faina Bryanskaya at Longy School Of Music. Piano Workshop with Donald Waxman at New England Conservatory. Freelance pianist and vocalist: performances in the greater Boston and Tokyo Metropolitan area.
