Sarah Bacon teaches Suzuki Violin, Suzuki Musical Kids and is the Artistic Director for Suzuki on the Hill summer-day program. She received her Bachelor of Music in Violin Performance from DePaul University with highest honors and her Master of Music degree from Longy School of Music. Sarah completed and registered Suzuki Teacher Training in Books 1-10: training in Books 1-4 with Carrie Reuning-Hummel, Edward Kreitman, Lorraine Fink, Katherine Wood and Edmund Sprunger; long-term training in Books 5-8 with Teri Einfeldt and Book 9-10 with Ann Montzka-Smelser; Group Class training with Carey Beth Hockett and Beyond Suzuki Repertoire with Brian Lewis. She is a trained early childhood educator in The Music Class® program, Musikgarten® and Suzuki Early Childhood Education.

An accomplished chamber and orchestral musician, she has performed with Civic Orchestra of Chicago, International Chamber Artists, Lyrica Chamber Music, Seven Hills Symphony, Plymouth Philharmonic, Kankakee Valley Symphony Orchestra, Lake Shore Symphony Orchestra, Rembrandt Chamber Players, Al Kamandjati Baroque Festival and Camerata in West Bank Palestine and premiered new chamber works through the American Composers Forum in Chicago. She made her solo debut with the Keene Chamber Orchestra and won the concerto competitions of the Worcester Music Association and Colorado College Summer Music Festival. In addition to Powers, Sarah has taught at Concord Conservatory of Music, Making Music Matters! (Boston Public Schools), Music On The Hill (MOTH), Performing Arts Center of MetroWest, and Midwest Young Artists in Illinois.
